11 tests your profile fails before anyone reads the bio

The app looks simple: a ring, a keep/kill list, a rewrite. Under that are explicit tests. This is the same checklist the scoring engine and Reply Coach use — written so you can run a weaker version by eye while you wait for a rescan.

Photo tests (per visible shot)

Each photo gets a verdict: keep, reorder, or drop. Then flags: eye contact (yes / no / unclear), smile type (Duchenne, polite, neutral, none, unclear), sunglasses, mirror selfie, group photo. Warmth and competence each get an impact from −100 to +100 for that frame. The lead photo also gets a keepPhotoOne boolean — if slot 1 fails the 100ms test, nothing below it gets read.

  • Sunglasses, ski goggles, or a pack of friends in slot 1 fail the same test: a stranger cannot picture eye contact.
  • Three of the same proof (gym, fish, suit) is a caricature. One is a data point.
  • removePhoto names the single worst frame so you do not rearrange the whole grid blindly.

Bio tests

We score show-don’t-tell 0–100, list up to three “telling” phrases (“I love travel”) and three “showing” phrases, then boolean-check: hasHook, hasOpinion, hasSpecific. The rewrite has to be first person, under ~200 characters, with a hook a match could actually reply to.

Prompt tests

Hinge/Bumble prompts that are opinions with no hook get replaced. The replacement has to be specific, slightly weird, and easy to comment on — not a résumé line.

Reply Coach tests

Reply: three send-ready lines (Safer / Balanced / Bolder) plus an interest and compatibility read of the thread. Openers: four first messages, 8–22 words, no “hey,” no compliment dumps. Check: a draft send-score where 0 is perfect to send and 100 is do not send, plus Chill / Playful / Direct rewrites. Date Planner: one idea, why, opener, follow-up, backup.

Fifteen tones you can pick: Playful, Callback, Flirty, Witty, Chill, Direct, Warm, Bold, Recovery, Romantic, Curious, Smooth, Sarcastic, Frame, Spicy. Callback (reference what they said) is the highest-reply-rate instruction we ship. Screenshots of chats are deleted after analysis, same as profile shots.

Daily Boost + rescan

Daily Boost is a 60-second fix pulled from your last score — not a new personality. Rescan after you change one thing (usually the lead photo). Change everything at once and you cannot tell what moved.

FAQ

What’s a Duchenne smile?

Eyes involved, not just the mouth. We flag polite vs real because a locked smirk across six photos reads as one dimension.

Can I use Reply Coach without a profile scan?

In the app, Reply Coach unlocks with a plan after you have a score history. The tests above are what it runs on a thread screenshot once you are in.
