The 6-photo order that gets the tap
Hinge is a photo-order game. Slot 1 gets the tap, slots 2–4 sell the personality, slots 5–6 handle objections. Here's the layout that works across 40,000 scored profiles.
Slot 1 — Face, chest-up, one expression
This is the only photo most people see. Soft daylight, no sunglasses, no group, no filter. The job is: 'I can picture eye contact with this person.'
Slot 2 — Full-body, casual
Answers the height/build question without making it the point. Standing, doing something ordinary — not posed against a wall.
Slot 3 — Doing the thing you actually do
Cooking, climbing, playing an instrument, at your workshop. It shows you have a life the other person could enter, not a highlight reel.
